Welcome to Tal-El

Tal-El is located at the edge of the northwestern border
of the Misgav
Regional Council, which services the village.
Tal-El - "Dew of G-d" in English - derives its
name from the heritage of its location in the western
Galil near Yitzhar Wadi, 150 meters above sea level.
The entire area is peppered with olive orchards, an ancient
agricultural institution and symbol of abundance and joy.
The Tanach sets Tal-El within the borders of the ancient
Israelite tribe of Asher, described as plentiful of wealth,
fruitful fields, and rich agricultural produce. The name
itself is taken from Moshe's blessing of the tribe of
Asher in Devarim 33:24-28. Tal is dew - the abundant
gift of the sky, and El is G-d. The combination of these
two words connotes the blessing of G-d with regard to
abundance and happiness. With this in mind, the founders
of Tal-El chose its name in the hopes that their new home
would grow as a source of pride for its community, a model
for settlement in the Galil, and a symbol of Zionism
come to life.
